Mellis Beta is an innovative shampoo-cream auxiliary anti-hair loss treatment, both androgenetic alopecia and telogen effluvium.
Based on β-sitosterol, Rosemary Oil and Manuka Honey (Beta complex 3).
Mellis Beta contains the exclusive Beta complex 3 (Beta-Sitosterol + Rosemary oil+ Manuka Honey).
- Beta-Sitosterol: an active ingredient obtained from oil extracts of certain plants (Serenoa Serrulata, Cucurbita Pepo, Nigella Sativa, Sesamum Indicum) able to inhibit 5 alpha reductase, the enzyme responsible for the excessive conversion of testosterone (T) to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in hair follicles. This is the principal mechanism at the base of androgenetic alopecia;
- Rosemary Oil: stimulates blood flow and helps to prolong the hair’s natural life cycle. It also contains Rosmarinic Acid, which fights free radicals and general inflammation;
- Manuka Honey: special and rare type of honey, improves moisturisation and reduce itching with its “natural antibiotic” action that contributes to controlling the bacterial flora normally present on the scalp.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Wet the hair and apply Mellis Beta, massaging the entire scalp to form a rich foam. Rinse and repeat, leaving the product to rest for 5-10 minutes. Rinse off and dry. Two to four applications a week are recommended.
Avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of the reach of children.
Open observational study on the efficacy and the tolerability of a shampoo-cream in hair-loss treatment. During a period of 3 months, the efficacy and the tolerability of Mellis Beta in subjects with hair loss. All the subjects underwent pull test, wash test, evaluation of symptoms (dandruff, pruritus, trichodynia). Tolerability and cosmetic tolerance were evaluated at the beginning of the treatment and after 30 and 90 days. In the patients the improvement of pull test has been continuous becoming negative in studied population after 90 days. Symptoms decreased in all patients. The cosmetic tolerance was also referred as positive in 100% of the cases. In summary the results of this study demonstrate that the shampoo is effective in the clinical and therapeutic management of patients with hair loss.
